Today we are releasing our first update to the Virginia/DC Power 25. We have five new teams moving into the rankings, as well as four new faces inside the Top 10.

After a hard fought battle between the previous #1 and #2 teams in the rankings, there has been a small changing of the guard at the top. Paul VI moves into the top spot after defeating St. John's by a final score of 14-10. 

Cape Henry moves up ten spots to #4 after racing off to a 7-0 start. They had a pair of quality wins on opening week over Grassfield and Hickory, as well as another quality win over Great Bridge that Monday. They have shown they are back once again and ready to make a run at their third straight state title. 

Two new faces to highlight are the Battlefield Bobcats and the Lightridge Bolts. Both have jumped out to unbeaten record and have beat some quality teams in the process. For Battlefield, it is about having a premier upperclass arm in Sam Michel (Duke) and the youth movement maybe taking a step forward a little earlier than some expected. Lightridge has quality offense up and down their lineup, upperclass leadership up the middle of the field, and an emerging frontline arm in Mason Sproat.
