For the second time in 2024, the 2027 class receives a rankings update. The class will make a expansion, but due to not seeing many 2027's during the high school season, there will not be an immense amount of change since the last update. For our late summer update, the 2027's will see extensive changes and expansion.

Teagan Leach and Blake LaMattina are the big winner in the 2027 class from this spring. Leach was the Cedar Run District Co-Player of the Year and had big numbers for Battlefield at the plate and on the mound. Present strength in the swing and it plays for average and middle of the order power production.

Blake LaMattina cemented himself as the top ranked uncommitted player in this class and arguably the best potential two-way player in this class. LaMattina has made a case for moving up even more so than he already has. Starting third baseman, hitting in the middle of the order, and showcased his arm strength and athleticism at the plate and on the mound.

Making a big jump in the rankings is freshman left hander, Cole Cinnamond. Cinnamond made his way into the rotation for one of the top teams in the 757, and in the state. Lower 80's arm that can run it to the mid-80's and shows some repeatability and ability to pitch.

Our final player of note is Graydon Ambrose. The starting catcher at First Colonial jumps into the Top 15 after a big spring. Everyday catcher for a team in the state tournament and hitting in the middle of the order. There is something that has to be said for that. Strong and physical frame that has some functional athleticism and still some young features that leads you to believe there is still room for some projection. Slightly above average arm for his class, handles a staff of 6-foot-5 upperclass right handers that sit mid-upper 80's, and can really handle the bat. Bat to ball and showed the ability to hit for average as a freshman. Plenty more strength and added power to come down the road for Ambrose.
