For the second time in 2024, the 2026 class receives a rankings update. While the class will not expand from it's place at 150, there has been a large amount of movement after a full high school season of player evaluations.
We would like to highlight a few players who have seen some movement from their previous position in the rankings.
Physically, Bryce Munchel (John Champe HS) has really taken off. While he still has some filling out to do in that 6-foot-2 frame, the physical advancements has shown well at the plate this spring. Munchel is one of the top hitters in that Champe lineup and has shown improved bat to ball ability.

Long and lanky 6-2 frame. Had a hit earlier in game. Lines out to LF in this AB. @PrepBaseballVA #BeSeen pic.twitter.com/ZU3fP3a097
Nick Warner is another John Champe HS underclassman that makes a move up. More compact frame, athletic, and some positional versatility on the field. Most importantly, Warner plays the game. Their is an instinctiveness about how he handles himself between the lines. Hit tool type of bat that has shown the ability to use the whole field in approach and has adjustability in the swing. Was a starter in the infield when we saw him this spring and has shown well behind the plate in the past.

Has shown well today. Instinctive and just plays the game. Made a couple heady plays at 2B. @PrepBaseballVA #BeSeen pic.twitter.com/qqeSzbB2r4
Chase Dorsey got some starting time at perennial power James Madison HS this spring, including a start at shortstop in the regional quarterfinal. Dorsey has the physical makeup that you would want to see in a player. Lean and athletic 6-foot-1 infielder that should continue to add strength to the frame. Shows some twitch in actions, above average run tool, and the ability to defend in the middle. Turned out a 4.27 home-first in that game and was a stumbled just a bit getting out of the box.

Dorsey legs out an infield single to lead off the bottom of the 7th. Has made plenty of plays at SS.
