Logan Bower OF / RHP / JAMES WOOD HIGH, VA / 2025

Was the first time some of our scouting personnel has gotten a chance to see the James Wood HS right hander. Biggest takeaway, the breaking ball is real. Primary stretch, reliever profile, fastball up to low 90's, and a breaking ball that would have a chance to play in college today.

Ryan Hummel C / RHP / CAPE HENRY COLLEGIATE SCHOOL, VA / 2025

This is a ranking that Hummel has been deserving of for the last six or so months, ever since we got a chance to see him up close and personal during the late winter. This is our first in depth, complete rankings update since that time. Sub 7 runner, left handed hitter with some power potential to pull, solid bat to ball, and upside on the mound. Long and thin 6-foot-3 frame with plenty of room to add strength. Projection left in multiple areas and some sneaky loud tools.

Brayden Mann C / 3B / PDG Academy, VA / 2025

This is an example of one that has kind of "slipped through the cracks". Our staff has never had a chance to see Mann during the high school season, never at an event, and on we simply have not gotten the opportunity to lay eyes on. We are fortunate to have done so two weeks ago at the Mid-Atlantic ProCase. Strong 6-foot-3, 200-pound frame and an above average athlete for his size and physical makeup. Slightly above average arm strength behind the plate, is around the bag on pops, and is athletic and versatile enough to think right field and first base are potential secondary positions. At the plate it is average bat and hand speed, barrel has some length in the zone and is more hit over power. Gap to gap with some adjustability. Excited to get out and see Mann again soon at his new home, PDG Academy.

Mason Mompoint 1B / WOODSIDE HIGH, VA / 2025

Extremely physical and mature 6-foot-2, 225-pound frame. Present hit tool, present pullside power, and the ability to impact the ball on a consistent basis. Mompoint's Peninsula Pirates team was in Prep Baseball VA/DC tournaments on a regular basis and it almost became a regular thing to see this uncommitted first baseman impact the ball for extra bases. Has shown the ability to hit for average, is strong enough to create some extra base power even on mishit balls, and is a solid athlete around the bag for someone of his size and stature.

Mason Murphy RHP / 3B / Radford, VA / 2025

The 6-foot-3 right hander made a really significant jump late spring and throughout the summer. Murphy was up to 89 at the 17U National Championship, solid physical makeup, the arm and delivery works, and the breaking ball has a chance to play. Two breaking balls. Both can blend shape at times, but there is a small velo difference. Lands both for strikes and both have a chance to be average to above average college pitches. Maintains some young features and there is still ceiling left for this southwest Virginia arm.
