Quick Hits

Cole Cinnamond 1B / LHP / GREAT BRIDGE HIGH, VA / 2027

Jumps on the first pitch here late night for home run to deep right.

Colby Fesler 2B / SS / Broadway, VA / 2027

Shorter arm action works from a three-quarters slot. Fastball was 79-81. Showed a cutter at 74-77. Was able to land the curveball for strikes at 69-70 with some 11/5 shape to it. Was in the zone with all three pitches.

Noah Gray OF / 2B / MILLER SCHOOL OF ALBEMARLE, VA / 2027

Attacks a fastball here and keeps hands in tight and path stays short. Rips this ball for a double down the line, drives in two runs.

Blake LaMattina SS / RHP / Cosby, VA / 2027

Ambushes a first pitch that is up and catches it on the barrel and on time, doesn't try to do to much and goes with it, sending it to right-center for a double. On the mound, short quick arm action from a higher three-quarters slot. Fastball was 84-87, touching 88 and had some life at the top of the zone. Showed feel for his spin, curveball was 74-75 with tighter 11/5 shape. Change-up was 77-78. Generated easy velocity.

Mason Mantz C / OF / TURNER ASHBY HIGH, VA / 2027

Squares this one up and hits it pretty hard but it goes for a deep lineout in left-center. Pretty strong at contact point.

George Minjack 3B / OF / St. Albans DC, VA / 2027

Drop and drive delivery, short arm action from lower three-quarters slot. Fastball heavy mix and worked both sides of the plate. Was 81-83, touching 84 with some sink and a bit boring action to armside. Breaking ball had slurvey shape at 69.

Daggu Rana SS / RHP / Langley, VA / 2027

Does a good job letting this ball get deep and going the other way with it for a line drive single backside.

Kaleb Sartin OF / RHP / Pulaski County , VA / 2027

Keeps hands and stays short, lets the barrel work and hammers this ball right at the centerfielder.

Camden Spangler 2B / RHP / Northside high school, VA / 2027

Keeps hands and tight and gets the barrel out to catch this one in front and rip it through the left side for a single. On the mound, simple smooth delivery, short arm action from a three-quarters arm slot. Fastball was 80-84, touching 85, had some ride up in the zone where he got some swing and miss. Breaking ball was 70-71 with some downer action. 3 strikeouts in 2 innings.

Aiden Tuck OF / RHP / POWHATAN HIGH, VA / 2027

A big two-way day for Tuck. Lets the ball travel and hits it where it is, lining a backside single in the morning game. In the nightcap, stays short and gets hands on top of an elevated pitch to punch it up the middle for another hit. On the mound, drop and drive delivery, longer arm action from a three-quarters arm slot, throws with some intent. Fastball was 82-85, touching 86, frame generates a lot of downward angle. Curveball was 66-70. Multiple strikeouts in a short outing.
