Thursday, July 25th kicked off game action at the inaugural 2024 Senior Future Games at LakePoint Sports in Emerson, Georgia, after Wednesday's evening workout slots were rained out. Players from Virginia and DC combine with players from North Carolina, Maryland, and Delaware to form Team Mid-Atlantic in this year's Senior Future Games. Below are Quick Hit highlights and notes from Friday's game:
Quick Hits
Gavin Angelillo C / RHP / NANSEMOND-SUFFOLK ACADEMY, VA / 20256-2, 200 pound frame, launches this ball for a home run with a live exit velocity of 102 MPH. Was 86-89, touching 90 on the mound on Thursday and ran a 6.98 60 yard dash this week.

Brian Archer C / 1B / Steward , VA / 2025Archer twice drives the ball for extra bases, showing pull side power. The first video is a double with a live exit velocity of 93 MPH and the second is a home run to left.

JT Brown SS / 3B / MATOACA HIGH, VA / 2025Shows all field power here as he drives and elevates this ball to right-centerfield for a triple off of the wall.

Gabriel Pegues OF / OF / McLean, VA / 2025Springy athlete with a big arm in center. Ran a 6.81 on Wednesday and has been faster in the past while consistently posting 90+ outfield velocities. Stay short and keeps weight back to drive this ball to right for a single.

Ryan Petro LHP / OF / Gainesville, VA / 2025Compact athletic frame, lower three-quarters arm slot with a short quick arm action. Fastball was 86-87 and touched 88 with armside run and he pounded the zone with it. Used his sharp slider heavily, pitch was 76-77 and spun up to 2915 RPM, generating multiple swing and misses.

Gage Strucko SS / RHP / BRIAR WOODS HIGH, VA / 2025Continues a strong weekend, shown is his second hit of this game after multiple hits yesterday. Has feel for the barrel and ability to drive the ball to all fields

Will Tighe C / OF / Paul VI, VA / 2025Another day that Tighe has mashed a ball after two on Thursday. This one is an outer half pitch that he stays back and drives to right-center for a double. Live exit velocity was 92 MPH.

Cal Travers LHP / 1B / Mills Godwin, VA / 20256-1, 205 pounds with an athletic frame. Drop and drive delivery and short arm action from a low three-quarters slot. Fastball was 83-85, touching 86, and he got swing and misses at the top of the zone with it. Slider was 75-77 and spun up to 2760 RPM.
