Today is the day everyone has been waiting for, the 2024 Prep Baseball Virginia/DC Player of the Year.

*Please note, stats MUST have been submitted in order for a player to be considered for an All-State team, or any postseason recognition.*

*Stats below reflect what was submitted prior to the June 3rd deadline.*

The Player of the Year award not only identifies the player who had one of the best statistical years from the 2024 season, but also the value a player brings to a team is added into the selection process. Taking all of that into account, Dalton Wentz (Amherst) has been named the 2024 Prep Baseball Virginia/DC Player of the Year. Wentz, a Future Games and Super 60 alum, was the all-around leader for Amherst the past couple of seasons. While his numbers are impressive, it is hard to quantify how important he was to this team that was decimated by some big losses from 2023 graduates.
