This Future Games Spotlight series will highlight and take a deeper dive into the player performances from Team Virginia/DC's week at Future Games, as well as an overall report on what we have seen from these players over the past year.

Dylan Amos RHP / SS / RIVERSIDE HIGH, VA / 2026

6-foot, 188-pound athletic frame. Short and quick low three-quarter arm with some funk and is a different look. We have seen Amos a few times this calendar year, including during the high school season, and the looks have varied a bit, but he has started to come into his own in the summer. Mostly fastball/slider and a tough AB for hitters, especially from the right side. The mid 80's fastball has been up to 88 in front of our staff, with above average raw spin. Amos sat 86-87 during his two inning outing at Lakepoint for the Future Games. He can pitch up when needed and the fastball bores in on right handers. Although he is just a two pitch guy, the fastball and slider have such a stark contrast that it keeps hitters honest from that side. True sweeper in the low to mid-70's with above average feel and can compete in the zone with that pitch.

He had some early traffic in both innings, but did a really solid job of working out of it. He got some uncomfortable swings and some weak contact, including a fisted soft liner for an inning ending double play.

More reliever profile right now with the different look and two pitch mix. The slider is a legitimate high school out pitch and also has the ability to be one at the next level. I think the stuff flashes above average and is good enough that he does not necessarily have to be a "command" arm, instead just needs to be able to land both pitches for strikes consistently.
