Quick Hits

Logan Clark OF / RHP / Halifax County, VA / 2026

Stayed short and hammered this ball for a 2-out 2-RBI hit, live exit velocity was 100 MPH.

Casey Cuddyer SS / 3B / GREAT BRIDGE HIGH, VA / 2026

Both hits for the Dick's Player of the Game below. In the first he keeps his weight back and sends the ball to right for an RBI double. In the second video, he extends a routine single up the middle into a double with a good hustle play.

Jayden Davis OF / RHP / AMHERST COUNTY HIGH, VA / 2026

5-10, 185 pound frame, short quick arm action, higher three-quarters slot. Fastball was 87-89, touching 90, and jumps out of his hand. Curveball was a problem for hitters, with good shape and sharp break causing him to pick up some swords and swing and misses. Curve was 77-79 and spun up to 2750 RPM.

Ben Drinkwine OF / 3B / Lightridge, VA / 2026

Keeps hands back and waits on this one and just keeps it fair. Uses his intelligence and aggression on the bases to pick up an extra base on a missed cutoff.

Brady Elrod OF / RHP / Hanover, VA / 2026

Elrod continued a good weekend. In the first video, he legs out a well struck ball into the 6-hole with a 4.35 home to first. In the second video, jumps all over this pitch and hits a rocket up the left-centerfield gap for a triple.

Shota Fogus RHP / OF / Bishop O'Connell, VA / 2026

Compact frame, simple delivery, higher three-quarters arm slot with a longer arm action. Fastball sat 87-89, touching 90. Showed ability to work slider to both sides of the plate at 75-77, spinning up to 2550 RPM. Change-up was 81-82 and he used it primarily as a weapon low and away to lefties, keeping them off balance.

Jalen German RHP / 1B / Trinity Episcopal , VA / 2026

6-2, 225 pound frame that is imposing with strength present. Very low three-quarters arm slot with a longer arm action. Fastball was heavy at 89-91 with armside run. Mixed in a slider that was 80-82.

Matthew Hartsfield SS / 2B / Mills E Godwin , VA / 2026

Hartsfield did not keep this ball fair, but he absolutely hammered it into the parking lot just foul. Exit velocity was 99 MPH and he showed his quick hands here to get the bat head to this fastball.

Levi Jones C / OF / Glen Allen High School, VA / 2026

A good two-strike approach here, keeps his weight back and gets the barrel to the ball to line one to leftfield for a hit.

Evan Salapka RHP / Atlee, VA / 2026

6-5, 190 pound frame that is lanky with room to add strength. Longer arm action, three-quarters slot. Fastball was 87-89 with late life. Showed a slider at 75-77 that generated a ton of weak contact.

John Michael Szefc SS / 2B / Miller School, VA / 2026

Gets hands on top of an elevated pitch for a single up the middle, driving in a run.

Will Yow SS / RHP / Saint Anne's-Belfield, VA / 2026

Lines this ball up the middle for a base hit. Ran a 6.40 60 yard dash during the workout on Wednesday.
