Quick Hits

Mandela Browman OF / MILLER SCHOOL OF ALBEMARLE, VA / 2026

Triple to leftfield here early in the game with a live exit velocity of 95.3 MPH. Balanced set-up, coils during a controlled load, uphill path and shows his speed around the bases. He ran a 6.58 60 yard dash during the workout day.

Drew Christine LHP / 1B / St. John's College, VA / 2026

Athletic frame, drop and drive delivery that has some crossfire and natural deception. Low three-quarters slot, arm stroke is short and loose. Showed a solid 3-pitch mix. Heavy fastball with armside run at 86-88, getting swing and misses. Varied velocity on his slider in the 66-71 range, got some swings and misses. Change-up ran 74-75.

Aaron Dierks RHP / 1B / WEST SPRINGFIELD, VA / 2026

Physical 6-3, 205 pound frame. Longer arm action from a high three-quarters slot, worked from stretch, simplifying things. Fastball sat 90-92, gets some late cut on it and has natural downward angle from his size and slot. Slider was sharp at 75-76 with 11/5 action, generating weak contact. Also showed a change-up at 84-86 that kept hitters off balance.

Chase Dorsey SS / 2B / James Madison HS, VA / 2026

Dorsey showed a good approach here, runner on second with less than two outs and his approach was to hit the ball behind the runner. He goes with this ball and lets it get deep and then drives it through the right side for a backside RBI single.

Aiden Gallagher C / RHP / Paul VI, VA / 2026

Physical 6-4, 225 pound frame. Longer arm action works from three-quarters slot. Lands closed and hides ball behind body. Fastball sat 86-88, touching 90, showed ability to throw to both sides of the plate. Slider had late hard 10/4 break and created weak contact. Flashed a change-up at 73-74.

Carter Perdue RHP / 3B / Paul VI, VA / 2026

Athletic frame, drop and drive delivery. Low three-quarters arm slot, short quick arm action. Filled the zone with fastball/slider combo. Fastball was 88-90 with armside run that has some depth. Slider was 75-78 with good armspeed and sharp 10/4 break, made hitters uncomforable.

Will Yow SS / RHP / Saint Anne's-Belfield, VA / 2026

Let the ball travel and controlled his load, hit the ball deep and barreled it for a backside single with a live exit velocity of 91.1 MPH.
