The Steward Spartans look to build on their 2022 season that saw them just a few pitches away from another trip to the VISAA DII state title game. See the full breakdown and some potential names to know in 2023.

Steward returns staff ace Michael Lewis (Swarthmore) and Zachary Williams (EMU) should be a nice compliment to Lewis on the mound. Sam Roberson (Campbell *soccer*) is a dynamic athlete up the middle of the field and with Lewis in the lineup as well, they should be able to produce some offense. The Spartans also return Nate Kumper and could see an increase in production behind the plate from sophomore Brian Archer. Another potential underclass contributor to be on the lookout for is Cayden Diatelevi. Diatelevi is a physical, athletic outfielder that will be an intriguing watch going forward. Coach Secrest always gets the most out of the Spartans team and I would not be surprised to see them in the semi's at Shepherd at the end of May.
