Our Week 12 Player Of The Week honor goes to Tuscarora senior shortstop and closer Bauer Burkart. Burkart is a Marshall commit and was a big part of both wins in Tuscarora's Region 4C Championship run. In their win over Kettle Run, he had the single that started the three-run rally that brought the Huskies back from down 1-0 and scored the tying run. He also tossed a perfect seventh inning to pick up the save and punch the Huskies' State Tournament ticket.

On Friday, in the Region Championship Game, Burkart had a few key defensive plays at short and a triple in the seventh inning. He picked up the win in relief, throwing 3 scoreless innings in a game that Tuscarora won 6-0 in nine innings.
