Last weekend many of the top teams and players from around the country assembled in Jupiter. Our national scouts were on hand and have reported on the things that they saw throughout the weekend, to see their stories, check the VA/DC News Feed. We wanted to take a moment to highlight a few individuals who had strong weekends in Florida.
-St. John's righty Zeke Gongola struck out five hitters in 4.1 innings of work.
-Centreville righty Cristian Sanchez (Virginia) threw three innings of one-hit ball with four strikeouts
-Paul VI righty Thomas Russell threw four one-hit innings and picked up six strikeouts and a win
-St. Stephen's/St. Agne's lefty Connor Campbell (Maryland) allowed one run in 4.2 innings while striking out five hitters
-W.T. Woodson righty Hunter Hoopes (UNC Asheville) picked up a win with 2.1 innings of scoreless ball
-Briar Woods lefty Wilson Ayers (Navy) threw four scoreless innings and struck out five hitters
-Madison righty Jake Nielsen (BYU) added two scoreless innings
-Spotswood righty Daniel Ouderkirk (West Virginia) struck out nine hitters while picking up a win with four scoreless innings
-Gar-Field righty Marty Neal (Harford CC) struck out eight hitters in three hitless innings while walking none
-First Colonial righty Graham Firoved (Radford) threw two scoreless innings
-Liberty Christian catcher Wesley Clarke (South Carolina) hit .318 with five extra base hits, including one home run.
-Miller School catcher Adam Hackenberg (Clemson) hit .375 on the weekend.
-Paul VI 2019 Cortland Lawson (Tennessee) hit .313 and also drew five walks
