Wes Clarke, C, Liberty Christian, 2018
Clarke committed to South Carolina. Clarke has an athletic frame and hits from the right side. He has a short swing and good hips generating good bat speed. He primarily had a gap to gap approach with easy doubles power to either gap and home run power to his pull side. Behind the plate, short loose arm action and an above average arm with a positional velocity of 78. Threw a 1.97 and 2.03 game pop, and all between-inning pops were between 2.00 and 2.09. Athletic behind the plate and slides well.


Nick Griffin, LHP, Thomas Dale, 2017
Grifffin committed to Virginia Wesleyan. Griffin is a lanky lefty and throws from a low three-quarters arm slot with a tall and fall delivery. His arm action is short and a bit stiff and he generates velocity with normal effort. His shoulders are downhill and slightly closed as he strides out to a square landing before falling off a bit as he finishes. Griffin’s fastball has heavy armside run. His slider had big, gradual 10/4 break. Changeup was thrown with good armspeed and had hard fading action to it, running. Griffin showed decent feel for all three pitches and the ability to work down in the zone with them.

Lliam Grubbs, RHP, Louisa County, 2018
Grubbs committed to James Madison. His velocity has jumped this summer, routinely sitting 85-87 and touching as high as 88. He has a quick arm and a lanky frame.


Tyler Tarrh, RHP, Riverbend, 2017
Tarrh committed to the University of South Carolina Sumter Junior College. Tarrh has a lanky frame and throws from a high three-quarters arm slot with a choppy drop and drive delivery. He has a long arm action with a bit of a wrap and a quick armstroke, generating velocity with normal effort. His shoulders are level and closed as he strides out online to an open landing before finishing in an athletic position. In July 2015, Tarrh’s fastball sat 76-78, touching 79, with late run and a bit of sink to it. He threw a sharp, 12/6 curveball with decent armspeed for strikes that ran 58-62. His changeup had decent armspeed and had armside run to it, sitting 63-65.
