Nearly fifty players found their way into the most recent VA/DC Class of 2024 Rankings Update.
We have highlighted a few through our High & Tight Podcast, rankings releases, Big Movers, and now our New Faces series. This is a two-part series that will highlight almost a dozen players that made their way into the Top 225.
New Faces Part II:
Jack Rampy RHP / Bishop O'Connell , VA / 2024The Bishop O'Connell right-hander had a standout performance at our Virginia Renegades Scout Day late this fall. Loose, whippy arm that filled the strike zone with three pitches. Showed some feel for a slurvy breaking ball and got ahead with a fastball that worked mostly to the glove side.
Nolan Medley LHP / Lord Botetourt, VA / 2024Got a good, first look at the Roanoke area LHP/OF during our Virginia Spiders Scout Day this fall. Medley is a high motor, high energy guy that has some effort to his actions. Our staff was most impressed with some of his stuff on the mound. Medley has a higher effort and some potential reliever makeup, but regardless of how he fits on a staff, the breaking ball absolutely plays.
Tommy Henry OF / Robinson, VA / 2024Henry has a long 6-foot-5, XL frame with room to add strength. The barrel has length in the zone and simply produces offense at a consistent rate. Has also shown some pitchability on the mound.
John Colligan SS / West Potomac , VA / 2024Colligan had a nice summer and fall in front of our staff. Showed a solid hit tool that played in game and he was able to produce offense to all fields. Ran an event best 7.1 this fall and is a step quicker in game.
Kaiden Takahashi-Trader RHP / Tabb , VA / 2024Really like the way this Tabb 24's arm works. Normal effort, the delivery has some rhythm and pace, and showed feel for two pitches for strikes. Could be a frontline arm for Tabb this spring.
Angiras Bhamoo OF / Centreville, VA / 2024Athletic 5-11 frame with proportional strength. Controlled intent to the swing. Above average arm strength from the outfield.
