After a Top 50 release yesterday, today we release our entire Top 250. The VA/DC class rankings remained at 250 players, but some new faces entered, as well as plenty of movement inside of the rankings.
Now we turn our attention to a few players who we would like to highlight.
Making a jump from just outside of the Top 100 and into the Top 75 is now Yale commit, Breyden Ruiz-Weiss. Ruiz-Weiss had a stellar season for the #1 St. John's Cadets. The Cadets outfielder hit nearly .400 while playing a difficult schedule. He also swiped over twenty bags and walked more times than he struck out. It is solid bat to ball and has some gap power in the bat.

‘24 @PBR_Uncommitted Breyden Ruiz-Weiss (@SJC_Baseball) goes back-to-back for @Cadets_BB with this SOLO ? to RCF. Really intriguing uncommitted prospect.@ksallday19 #PBRMAPI pic.twitter.com/jIf5fK0jgn
Making a small jump, right outside of the Top 50, is VMI commit Gavin Biernot. The Western Branch ace was very strong in our looks at him this summer at the 17U National Championships. Listed at 6-foot-4, and is every bit of it, if not more. The body, physical makeup, and projection is through the roof, but we have just been waiting to see if the left hander will make a jump. During the third week of July, he showed some added arm strength. Working off of essentially two pitches, a fastball and changeup, Biernot has plenty of pitchability and is effective without a serviceable breaking ball. The fastball usually sits in the low 80's, but he showed mid-upper 80's in a start on short rest. He held it fairly well for the first two or so innings before fading slightly, but it was encouraging to see the jump.
We saw ‘24 Gavin Biernot (Western Branch l @TidewaterTBirds) on day 1, but today he ran it up showing some added arm strength.
Usually low 80’s, the #BaseCo commit sat 84-87 T88in 1st. College ready CH. 6-4 w/ pitchability. @PBRVirginiaDC #17Nat23 pic.twitter.com/QgDMQ84Q8W
