BRADENTON, FL—You have to take the good with the bad. After providing fantastic weather for the National High School Invitational, Mother Nature decided to remind everyone who’s boss. I caught a 5:30 a.m. flight out of North Carolina this morning and made it to the IMG Academy National Classic in time to see RHP Bo Weiss (Regis Jesuit HS, CO). Also on the schedule was 2018 RHP Levi Kelly (IMG Academy, FL) and RHP Austin Bergner (Windermere Prep, FL), as well as 3B Bo Bichette (Lakewood HS, FL) playing just down the street. But Weiss is all I got as a massive storm moved through in the late morning, dumping rain and producing lightning all around. The upside is the weather is looking better after today and things are simply pushed back, so we’ll still get to see some good stuff.
