This week, Prep Baseball Report is hosting the Junior Future Games alongside the Future Games, with both events taking place at LakePoint in Cartersville, Georgia. Like the Future Games, teams represent a region, with Team Mid-Atlantic being made up of players from Maryland, Delaware, DC, and Virginia.
Junior Future Games teams play in a four game pool play tournament, with the pool leaders advancing to a Championship round on Sunday. 2019 is the first year that Team Mid-Atlantic has teams in the Junior Future Games field, with a 14U team and a 13U team competing.
See a recap of "Championship Sunday" action for the 13U team plus some notes from Team Mid-Atlantic players who had strong days:

In the semi-final game Sunday morning the 8-seeded Team Mid-Atlantic took on 4-seeded Team Indiana. Mid-Atlantic jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the third on a Justin Gunter 2-RBI double.

Back to back singles from Matthew McGovern and Justin Gunter would put runners at first and second for Team Mid-Atlantic. Following a 6-3 fielder's choice by Jack Wells, Indiana elected to intentionally walk Lucas Smith loading the bases with one out. Carter Blankenship singled to give Mid-Atlantic a one run lead.
