Replay Rangers Scout Day: Quick Notes

On Thursday, October 1, the Replay Rangers held a Scout Day with PBR in attendance to take stats and video of all the players that participated. Last week, we posted the statistical leaders. Today we dive a bit more into the event with quick notes on players who stood out to our staff:
Ethan Applegate OF/RHP Independence 2022
Applegate had a solid two-way day. At the plate, he has plenty of projection left to his frame wwith some power present and speed as well, posting an exit velo of 91 and a 60 time of 7.04. Also showed some ability on the mound and a breaking ball with some armspeed.

Robert Brenneman OF/RHP Woodgrove 2022
Brenneman is a switch hitter at the plate, showing much better from the right side than the left. On the mound, filled up the zone and showed feel for three pitches and willingness to use them to both sides of the plate and in any count.

Louis Cresci OF Freedom (South Riding) 2021
Cresci has projection left to his frame and a quick bat with some power present and room to grow into more as he continues to fill out, exit velocity was 93. Ran a 7.15 and was also 82 from the outfield.

Noah Hamilton RHP/1B Broad Run 2021
Hamilton had the best showing on the mound of the evening. Heavy fastball with a projectable frame. Good armspeed on his offspeed pitches with some shape on a breaking ball that has a chance to sharpen into a swing and miss pitch for him. Also showed pop at the plate, where his exit velocity waas 89.

Quick arm from a 6-2 projectable frame. Fastball was heavy and breaking ball flashed hard late 11/5 shape.

Matthew Hite RHP/SS Woodgrove 2021
Hite has an athletic frame with projection left to it. Hits from the right side where he showed some bat speed and present power with potential to add more. Exit velocity was 91.

Jack Littman 3B Broad Run 2022
Littman has a lanky frame with a lot of projection left to it. Has some quickness in his swing and room to add strength as he fills out and grows into some more pop. Showed feel for the barrel in BP and in a game setting.

Drew Petitt OF Briar Woods 2021
Petitt has an athletic frame with strength present in his frame. Pretty standard day for him, ran 7.02, was on the barrel consistently with power in the gaps and a gap to gap approach that lets him use his speed, which plays up on the basepaths.

Ethan Walker LHP/1B Broad Run 2022
Walker had an interesting 2-way day. Tall frame with a lot of projection left. On the mound, throws from a high three-quarters slot and showed feel for three pitches. Also has some present pop at the plate where he hits from the left side, room to grow into more power as he gets stronger.

Bobby Zottoli OF Broad Run 2021
Zottoli has a long lanky frame with plenty of projection left to it. Longer swing but generates loft and leverage with his long levers. Hammer the ball three times in game setting, easy gap power to pull side with potential to grow into more as he fills out.
