Last Wednesday night, over 45 players from DC and Northern Virginia that play for Prime Time Aces took part in a Scout Day workout in front of college coaches and the PBR Scouting staff. Today we highlight a few players who stood out at the event.

Gavin Brunsman 3B / 2B / Bishop Ireton, VA / 2022

Brunsman wrapped up what has been a very good 2020 for him with yet another outstanding evening. He is a barrel machine at the plate, working gap to gap with present power and projection to add more as he fills out his frame. Live exit was 93 during BP and he hammered the ball in-game as well in each at bat. Has some arm strength at third as well with his IF velo being 84. Brunsman also showed decently on the mound, where his fastball worked 79-83 and was up to 84.

Jesus Del Valle SS / 2B / Bishop Ireton , VA / 2021

Del Valle is a Glenville State commit. Lanky frame with a lot of projection left to it. Some twitch as an athlete. Short, quick swing with power already and the chance to grow into even more as he gets stronger.

Robbie Engelberg C / OF / Maret, VA / 2022

Engelberg has some strength in his frame and plenty of room to add more. Ran decently on a slow track with 7.32, power is present already in the gaps with room to grow into more. Quick release behind the plate as well, live exit velocity was 94.

Edward Frye 2B / RHP / South county , VA / 2022

Frye showed well at the plate during BP and during game action. Feel for the barrel with a short swing that works well gap to gap. Ball carries in the gaps and he has some extra base power and projection left in his frame to add strength.

Jasiah Harris SS / 2B / St. Stephen's & St. Agnes, VA / 2022

Jasiah is a quick middle infielder with a lot of projection left in his frame and room to add strength. Harris has speed in his toolbox, he ran a 6.90 at the State Games and was the fastest runner here despite a soft track. Good hands and a smooth defender at short.

Henry Hultquist RHP / OF / Gonzaga, VA / 2022

Hultquist was one of the standouts of the day. On the mound, showed a whippy arm and present velocity with the chance to add more as he continues to fill out. Slider works with his fastball as well and flashes swing-and-miss. Arm translated to the outfield, and at the plate, showed a short swing with extension and some gap power with potential for more.

Antonio Ignacio 3B / 2B / T.C Williams , VA / 2021

Ignacio has an athletic frame with projection left to it. Short swing at the plate with some batspeed present, line drive doubles power present and could still grow into some more. Has some speed, ran 7.19 on a slow track.

Owen Kashawlic RHP / 2B / Hayfield Secondary School, VA / 2023

Kashawlic has an athletic frame and a lot of projection left to it. Arm action is easy and pounded the zone with his fastball which has some late life to it. Was up to 78 and easily projects to continue adding velocity as he grows and gets stronger.

William Kopp C / 3B / Bishop Ireton , VA / 2022

Kopp has an athletic frame that has some strength present and still has projection left to it. Short line drive swing with some power in the gaps, showed a good approach. Quick release behind the plate as well.

Ryan Osinski RHP / 1B / St. Stevens & St. Agnes, VA / 2022

Osinski is physically imposing and has strength present but still plenty of projection left to it. At the plate, long levers allow him to generate a lot of raw power. Easy home run power to his pull side and should develop ability to go yard to all fields. On the mound, showed mid-80s velocity with a quick arm. Slider tunnels off of fastball nicely with late sharp break.

Campbell Plishker RHP / OF / TC Williams, VA / 2022

Plishker has some two-way potential but showed the best on the mound. Projection left in his frame and a chance to add some more velocity is he continues to add strength. Short arm action with a quick arm stroke.

Joshua Rivera RHP / OF / Heritage , VA / 2022

Rivera was also one of the standouts on the evening. On the mound, athletic frame with a lot of projection left to it. Loose quick arm with easier effort to it, touched as high as 88. Slider was very good, sharp late break to it and pitch showed swing and miss potential. Arm strength translated to the outfield and he also has a short swing that generates line drives that get some carry in the gaps.

Paul Witkop RHP / SS / Potomac School, VA / 2024

As a freshman Witkop has a long way to go but he showed well as a potential two-way player. At the plate, short swing that works well gap to gap and already has extra-base power present with the chance to grow into more as he gets bigger and stronger. On the mound, low three-quarters arm slot with a loose arm action and a fastball that was up to 77. Showed ability to throw two breaking balls with different shapes.
