On Saturday February 17th PBR Virginia/DC will host the Preseason All-State at the Virginia Sports Complex facility in Ruther Glen, VA. The biggest event prior to the high school season in Virginia will feature some of the top players and prospects around the commonwealth and put them all on one stage in front of the PBR scouting staff. As with all PBR events, all players will get their performance videoed and professionally edited to update or start their PBR Profile. Today we spotlight one of the players on the roster for the event.

Preseason All-State Spotlight: Jack Carey
Scouting Report
10.21.17: Carey is 6-5 with a strong athletic frame, hits from the left side from an open athletic stance. Short stride on line, short load back, some rhythm to swing. Explosive lower half, good balance through swing. Quick to the ball, uphill swing through it with good extension and a pull fly ball approach, exit velocity was 92 and power was present with potential for more. In the outfield, gets behind the ball and plays through it well, clean exchange. Throws from a higher three-quarters arm slot, shorter arm action, ball has some carry, position velocity was 86. Showed some accuracy as well.
