As we approach the spring season, we would like to highlight some uncommitted players from across the state that you should get out and see this spring.
Out of all the regions in the state, Richmond has some of the best remaining uncommitted talent in the 2024 class. Today we will highlight a handful of them.

Callum Early is the top uncommitted player in the state, regardless of class. Advanced run tool, feel for the barrel, adjustability in the swing, and can handle the bat as well as anyone in the class. Athleticism and feel for the position that will enable him to stay in the middle. High academic, left handed hitter, and ability to stay at shortstop.

Ayden Schnarrs has been a mainstay in the Cosby lineup since he was a freshman. Contact bat with doubles power and works well around the bag at second. Capable defender up the middle that may be more second base long term. Instinctive runner on the bases and has a high contact rate in the box. Schnarrs is one of a couple of uncommitted players on the Cosby roster that will make them well worth the watch this spring.

A recent transfer to the defending 5A State Champion Douglas Freeman Mavericks, Cayman Goode is one of the more high ceiling uncommitted arms in the Richmond area. Goode is athletic, twitchy, and still has polish to add. Typically a mid 80's arm that has a curveball with plus potential. The curveball is a high spin banger that sits in the mid 70's and he also flashes a upper 70's slider that also is a high end spin offering. The secondary is the separator for me and should be one to get eyes on this spring.

Collegiate returns plenty of their roster from their 2022 playoff run. One of the staples in the infield and in the lineup is Hartley Rahman. Rahman has a compact frame, solid defender who works well around the bag, and displays a consistent hit tool. It is more contact than power, but he will turn a few around in both gaps, showcasing some doubles power. Defensive profile is probably more second base at the next level, but the bat plays and could be the tone setter for the Cougar offense this spring.

Chase Chambers appears to be the vocal leader of the Midlothian Trojans squad. Starting since he was a freshman, Chambers has the experience to help the Trojans take the next step this spring. The middle infielder has a long lanky frame with range. The hands work and it is an accurate arm across. Contact bat that uses the whole field and shows a patient approach at the plate. Chambers brings a steadiness to the top end of the Trojan order.
