Driscoll is 5-8 with an athletic frame that has a strong lower half and some projection left to it. He hits from the right side from an open balanced athletic stance, low leg kick stride on line, smooth load back, has some rhythm. Hips rotate completely with some violence and he maintains good lower half balance. Hands stay inside, short and quick to the ball, uphill line drive swing with strength at contact and some extension through the ball, feel for the barrel, showed a pull approach with some power present that way, exit velocity was 89. Behind the plate, quick clean exchange, throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, short fast arm action, position velocity was 79 and pop times 1.90-1.97. Throws were accurate. Ran a 7.21 60 yard dash. On the mound, he throws from a three-quarters arm slot, short loose quick arm action and some effort to his delivery. Shoulders are uphill and on line, lands closed with a slight fall off finish and some recoil. Fastball was 83-86, touching 87, with some late armside run. Curveball had some armspeed and was 68-73 with late hard 10-4 break to it.

PBR Future Games

Compact 5-foot-8, 170-pound frame. If you have never had a chance to watch Driscoll play, do yourself a favor and go watch. Driscoll is a ball of energy all over the field and is an exceptional teammate. He is a bit undersized, but doesn't play like it. Above average defender behind the plate and has a quick exchange and release with arm strength and accuracy on throws. More than capable defender at third and second with arm strength for the left side. At the plate Driscoll is a very consistent bat. Doubles power that flashes more at times and has the ability to hit for average. Have had the chance to see Driscoll versus good velo multiple times this summer and just like previous viewings the Future Games arms he faced, which generally ranged from 85-90, did not phase him at all. Combining Driscoll's ability to use the whole field and his plate discipline those two things make him a tough out. He is going to be a solid addition for some program at the next level and will be a contributor on the field and in the clubhouse.

Driscoll is 5-8 with an athletic frame and a strong lower half. He hits from the right side from an upright open stance, big leg kick stride on line, smooth load back and down. Hips rotate with violence, maintains some balance, hands are quick and inside ball, strong at contact with good extension, slightly uphill path with power potential, exit velocity was 86. In the infield, ball and fields with a wider base and above average hands, works through the ball to a clean release, throws from a higher three-quarters arm slot, velocity was 84. As a catcher, throws from a high three-quarters arm slot with a short arm action, position velocity was 79 and pop times were 1.91-2.05. Ran a 4.20 home to first.

RVA Fall Review

Compact frame at 5-foot-8, 170-pounds and shows some athleticism. At the plate Driscoll starts with a narrow open stance, small leg kick, and lands square. Hands back at separation, short level path to the ball, and had plenty of bat speed getting through the zone. Gap to gap approach with consistent line drives and some power potential in the swing. Exit velocity was 83 mph. Behind the plate he gained ground on throws and used a short quick arm with a clean exchange. Pop times ranged from 1.91-2.06 with a positional velocity of 78 mph. In the infield feet are active on approach, works through the ball well, and fields out front with above average hands. Quick clean exchange to a short arm circle and flashed some arm speed and strength across as well, infield velocity was 82 mph. Home to 1st time was 4.08.

Top Prospect Games West

Driscoll is 5-8 with a strong athletic frame. He hits from the right side from an upright slightly open athletic stance, short stride on line, short load back and down. Hips rotate completely with some violence and he maintains some lower half balance. Keeps hands inside, short to the ball, strength at contact and extension through the ball, has some batspeed. Uphill swing path, pull approach with loft in his swing, exit velocity was 75. Behind the plate, clean exchange, throws from a high three-quarters arm slot with a short arm action, catcher velocity was 75 and pop times were 2.07-2.15. Showed some accuracy with his throws. Showed versatility taking balls in the infield, where his arm played up to 81.

VA/DC Scout Blog

Solid compact frame standing around 5-foot-8. Driscoll had solid receiving skills and was firm at reception. Pop times between innings varied from 2.10-2.20. Short arm action and was accurate around the bag. At the plate has an athletic stance with a slight knee to knee load with a small stride forward. Hands make a small load before displaying a short path to the ball and hands stayed inside. Head is quiet throughout and maintains balance during the swing.

 Driscoll is 5-8 strong athletic frame very strong lower half. Hits from the right side from an upright open athletic stance, strides online smooth load back, good rhythm to set up, hips rotate violently and explosively, complete rotation of lower body, maintains some balance during swing. Very short to the ball, hands quick and stay inside very well, bat has some whip to it,strength at contact point, uphill with extension through the ball. Shows pull preference and ability to generate some power already with more to come in the future, exit velocity on the day 83. At short, quick clean feet rounds ball aggressively, fields with a good wide base, soft hands, plays through the ball to a quick clean exchange. Throws from a low three-quarters arm slot infield velocity was 82. Home to first 4.17. On the mound throws from a three-quarters arm slot, short free arm action is very quick, generates velocity with some effort. Shoulders uphill and online lands square with an athletic finish, simple repeatable delivery, explosive to the plate. Fastball was 79 to 82 with boring action to the armside. Curveball was 63-68 with sharp 12/6 break, good arm speed when thrown at a top of the range, pitch has a chance to be very good when thrown hard.

Driscoll is 5-6 with an athletic frame, he hits from the right side from an upright open stance. Short leg kick stride on line, smooth load back, has some rhythm to his swing. Explosive hips and good balance during his swing. Short to ball, slightly uphill path line drive swing with extension through the ball, showed good approach using whole field, swing sets up to generate some power in the future to pull side, exit velocity was 78. At short, quick feet, fields ball with above average hands, quick clean exchange. Throws from a low three-quarters arm slot with a short loose arm action, infield velocity was 75. On the mound, throws from a high three-quarters arm slot with a short free arm action that has some quickness to it and normal effort. Lands closed, some crossfire to his delivery. Fastball was 73-75, touching 76 with some late run. Curveball was 61-62 with gradual 11/5 break and some armspeed. Change-up showed fade during warm-ups and some armspeed.

Short leg kick stride on line, short smooth load back with slight wrap, hips rotate fully, some balance to swing. Level line drive swing with some extension through the ball and some strength. Showed good approach working gap to gap, exit velocity was 77. In the infield, good clean feet, rounds ball well and fields with a wider base and above average hands. Plays through the ball to a clean exchange, throws from a low three-quarters arm slot with a shorter arm action, infield velocity was 70.
