We had the opportunity to head down south early last see to catch some top 16u action in the Southeast, catching up and seeing talent from the Maryland / Virginia area for a few games. Here are notes on a few of the uncommitted talents we saw.

Christian Ficca C / OF / Gonzaga College, VA / 2020Projectable and lanky athletic frame. Hits from an athletic set up at the plate with nice rhythm. Shorter, direct swing path with quick hands and nice extension through contact. Strength is to middle / pull side, but hands are free enough should have no trouble with gap to gap ability. Nice hip control in the crouch, soft receiver and clean exchange with some carry on throws. Looks to be an all-around catching prospect with offensive potential.
