In-Game Stat Leaders: 2021 State Games of NC

Brandon Hall
Mid-Atlantic Executive Director

Each year the State Games of North Carolina does a terrific job of providing opportunity for athletes in many sports, across many age ranges, to compete against one another.  One of those sports is baseball, and the event quickly grew into one of the most watched showcases across the country.

This year, as it has for over 30 years, the State Games of North Carolina divided the state into 8 regions, with high school coaches selecting teams from their region to compete for one week at the State Games.  This year, the workout day took place at history Durham Athletic Park.  The four days of game play followed at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.

PBR was on hand for each day of the State Games.  Below is our continuing coverage of the 2021 edition of the State Games of NC.

Fastball Range

Throughout the game play portion of the week, PBR used a Stalker Pro SII radar gun to capture the velocities of each pitcher throwing.  While the scoreboard at UNC had a velocity reading, all velocities in the updated stats come from the PBR Radar Guns.  As usual, the State Games featured some good arms that should continue to grow in the coming year.  Below are the top 20 Fastball Ranges, recorded at the 2021 State Games.
