SCOUTING REPORT
VA/DC PreSeason All-State Central
Christman is 6-4 with a lankier athletic 190 pound frame that has a lot of projection left to it. He hits from the right side from an open balanced athletic stance, short stride on line, short load back. Hips rotate completely with some violence and he maintains some lower half balance. Hands stay inside, short and quick to the ball, slightly uphill line drive swing path with strength at contact and some extension through the ball, showed good approach working gap to gap, extra base power in the middle of the field, gets more uphill to his pull side with more extension through the ball and power that way, still has room to add more pop, exit velocity was 92. In the infield, gets body behind ball and fields with a wider base and above average hands, works through the ball to a quick clean exchange, throws from a three-quarters arm slot, short quick arm action, position velocity was 83. Ran a 7.17 60 yard dash.

RVA Fall Review
Long projectable athlete at 6-foot-3, 180-pounds and plenty of room to grow into it. At the plate shows an open athletic stance, strides forward landing slightly closed, and gets nice usage out of his lower half. Gets on plane early and stays on through contact. Slightly uphill path with some gap to gap power potential and an exit velocity of 88 mph. Defensively has the length and range to play the left side with above average arm strength at 78 mph across. Fields out front, uses an average arm circle, and throws from a higher three-quarter arm slot. Ran a 4.20 Home-1st time. Matching his size and athleticism with some high level offensive ability make Christman a can't miss prospect in the 2023 class.
