SCOUTING REPORT
VA/DC PreSeason All-State Central
Garner is 6-1 with a lankier athletic 183 pound frame that has a lot of projection left to it. He hits from the right side from a slightly open balanced athletic stance, low leg kick stride on line, short smooth load back. Hips rotate completely with some violence and he maintains good lower half balance. Hands stay inside, short to the ball, slightly uphill line drive swing path with strength at contact and some extension through the ball, showed good approach working gap to gap, swing generates carry in the gaps and extra base power is present with potential for more in the future, exit velocity was 93. In the infield, rounds ball and fields with a wider base and above average hands, works through the ball to a quick clean exchange, throws from a lower three-quarters arm slot, short loose arm action, position velocity was 79. Showed versatility taking balls in the outfield as well. Ran a 7.24 60 yard dash.
