Mechanicsville Mustangs:
Aaron Maxie 1B / OF / Mechanicsville, VA / 2023Listed at 6-foot-1 and 190-pounds, Maxie has a long lanky frame with lean strength present and room to add more. Square stance at the plate, minimal hand load to a slight wrap, and shows advanced bat speed through the zone. Barrel whips through the zone and Maxie does a nice job staying inside at contact. Ripped a single down the first base line in his first at bat and later followed it up with an absolute rocket that left center field. Shows above average athleticism at first base and gets out of the box well, displaying a solid run tool for a guy that can hit for power like he does.

CJ DiNapoli RHP / OF / Mechanicsville, VA / 2022Pace and intent to the delivery. Short, quick arm from a three-quarter arm slot. The fastball sat 86-89 mph early and touched 90 once. DiNapoli settled in at the 86-87 mph range and touched a few more 88-89's during his outing. The fastball seemed to jump on hitters, getting some uncomfortable swings and chases up and out of the zone. The breaking ball had some depth and late horizontal break to it, with more of a slurve feel at 75-78 mph. DiNapoli is a solid athlete with an advanced run tool and the ability to affect the game on the mound and at the plate.
