2021 Rankings Prospects
May 11, 2018
This week, On the Hunt pulls a host of players from the recent release of the updated and expanded 2021 Overall Rankings. Each of the players shows signs of making quick advancements in coming years, and they all feature high ceilings. Whether a talented infielder, potential starting pitcher, or two-way prospect, each player will give college recruiters something to follow closely over the next few years. Players on the list come from California, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Ontario, Texas, and Virginia.
Tyler Fullman RHP / 1B / Marian Catholic, IL / 2021Rankings OverallRank: 96 / POS: 24
Fullman’s broad-shouldered, durable frame and minimal effort velocity should make him one of the more coveted arms in the class by college recruiters. Currently 6-foot, 180-pounds, the strong right-hander possesses a quick right arm that allows him to run up his fastball to 86 mph. Utilizing a smooth, low-intensity delivery, Fullman repeats his high ¾ arm slot with ease while creating a downard plane to the bottom of the strike zone. Athletic on the mound, Fullman has no wasted movement as he works linear to the plate. Effortlessly, the ball jumps out of his hand after a short arm stroke. Perhaps even more interestingly, Fullman has flashes a firm breaking ball at 72-76 that takes 11/5 shape. As he throws it more, and refines the pitch, it shows the potential of becoming a weapon moving forward. Overall, Fullman’s high ceiling and quick arm will have college recruiters following him moving forward. |
