Joseph Doherty (OF, 2017) Doherty is a rangy outfielder with decent speed.
John Hull (OF, 2016) Hull is a speedy outfielder that covers a ton of ground.
Grant Keller (SS, 2016, Longwood) Keller will move from third base to shortstop this year for the Trojans. He is currently ranked 63rd in the VA/DC Class of 2016 Rankings.
Bryce Moore (RHP, 2016) Moore has an athletic pitcher’s build and has a good fastball with slight run. He has a sharp breaking curveball and a running change-up.
Eric Picucci (3B/RHP, 2017) Picucci is an athletic middle infielder with a strong arm who is versatile. He has good balance throughout his swing and is a line drive hitter with a short stroke.
Thomas Rysedorph (RHP, 2016) Rysedorph has a big frame and will be the Trojans top arm this spring.
SEASON OUTLOOK
Midlothian is coming off of an up and down 2015 season that came to an end in the conference tournament. The 2016 Trojans should be improved this year as they will have deep pitching staff behind seniors Rysedorph and Moore. There is a lot of speed at the top of the lineup with Hull and Doherty setting the table for Keller. Defensively, the Trojans will cover a lot of ground in the outfield and should be very good on the left side of the infield. If the Trojans can get consistent production from the bottom of their lineup this spring, Midlothian should be greatly improved in 2016 and could challenge to earn a spot in the 4A East Regional.
