As we enter February, the high school season is quickly approaching. As the month progresses and February turns into March, we will take a look at high school programs throughout our coverage area as they prepare for the 2016 season.

SEASON OUTLOOK
Deep Run is coming off of a good 2015 season that saw the Wildcats win the Conference 11 Championship and advance to the 5A South Regional Tournament. The 2016 Wildcats bring back most of their pitching staff and will be very deep on the mound. Offensively, Deep Run lost some of its power to graduation and the Wildcats will need to manufacture runs a bit more and use their speed to their advantage. If the Wildcats can produce runs consistently with their good pitching staff, Deep Run will again be among the favorites in Conference 11 and the Wildcats should return to the 5A South Regional.
