Outlook:
Potomac is coming off of an outstanding 2014 season which saw them win Conference 15 before being eliminated in the 5A North quarterfinals. The 2015 Panthers will again be one of the better teams in the 5A North as they return most of their pitching and the core of their lineup. The pitching staff will be led by Nate Volz (LHP, 2015) and Alex Burke (MIF/RHP, 2016). The lineup will be led by Burke, Andrew Blevins (C, 2016), Jonathan Caicedo (OF/RHP, 2016), and youngsters Colt Lee (CIF/RHP, 2017), and Mike Buchino (MIF/RHP, 2017). The Panthers will be very deep on the mound this spring and will be fundamentally sound and strong defensively. As long as their youths progress early in the season, Potomac will again be among the favorites in Conference 15 and a dangerous team in the 5A North tournament.
