Outlook:
Osbourn Park is coming off of an outstanding 2014 season that saw them win the Cedar Run Conference regular season title and advance to the 6A Northern Region tournament. The Yellow Jackets lost six graduates to the college ranks, including pitcher Saul Aguilera (George Mason) and power/speed threat Jack Hamner (Harford). Despite that, the 2015 squad has a strong veteran core and some talented youngsters to build around. The lineup will be led by Nick Atkinson (OF, 2015), Justin Brown (IF, 2016), Ethan Carmack (OF, 2016), and Thomas Ankers (IF, 2017). The rotation will be anchored by big righties Riley Lane (RHP, 2015) and Kyle Whitten (RHP, 2017). The Yellow Jackets will have great team speed, on the bases and defensively, and outstanding starting pitching. If the youngsters can grow up quickly, Osbourn Park will be a dangerous team in the Cedar Run Conference and could make a run in the 6A Northern Region tournament.
