Outlook:
Mount Vernon is coming off of a rebuilding 2014 season that saw them eliminated in the conference tournament. The Majors look to be better in 2015 as they return a few key players and have a strong group of sophomores and juniors. The lineup will be led by Ryan Fowler (MIF/RHP, 2015), Dawson Summa (C/MIF/RHP, 2015), Sean Anderson (CIF/RHP, 2016), Chris Coakley (CIF/RHP, 2016), Chip Draper (MIF/RHP, 2016), and Ethan Kuhn (OF/MIF, 2016). That group will also provide them with a deep group of pitchers to build their rotation with. Mount Vernon will be a team with a young core and veteran leadership, if the youths produce quickly, they will be competitive in the Capital Conference and could be dangerous in the 5A North playoffs.
