The PBRT 16U Florida Summer Championships continued Friday, July 8th at the Buck O'Neil Baseball Complex and IMG Academy with action from the 16U division. The event is four days long with champions decided on Sunday. Each day we will highlight standouts with a daily scout blog. Take a look at Day 2's notes.

5-foot-11, 160 pounds. Leaner frame. Slower methodical delivery. Advanced feel for BB. Painting in/out. Slurvey with some swing & miss. FB up to 84 will jump as he continues to fill out. One to watch. FB: 80-83 T84CB: 63-65 CH: 70-71

Danandres Colon SS / Lakeland Christian, FL / 2025Physical ‘25 has hit the ball hard in multiple AB’s today. Level to uphill path with natural lift staying compact with strength.

Lamar Edwards Jr. OF / DeLand, FL / 2025Physical LHH ‘25 with strength throughout has flashed some juice this weekend. 2B to CF and tagged a big league fly ball, hanging in the air for around 5.9 to the pull side.

Clayton Evans C / 1B / Sebring, FL / 2024Very comfortable in the box with a plan. Easy stroke through the 6 hole for RBI 1B. Short, compact and on plane with a loose/easy path.

Mekai Griffin RHP / OF / Trinity Catholic, FL / 2024Miami recruit. 6-foot-2, 190 pounds. Athletic actions. Two-way potential. Shows the offensive side. Smooth level path with good hands. Comfortable in the box.

Ethan Holliday SS / Stillwater, OK / 2025Oklahoma State recruit. 3 XBH’s for Holliday. Power to all fields, mature approach with present plate discipline.

Ethan Jones SS / University (Orange City), FL / 20246-foot-1, 195 pounds. A lot to like here. Smooth fielding LHH SS. Projectable frame. Easy juice with uphill path.

Logan Koslin SS / RHP / J.W. Mitchell, FL / 2025Physical lower half generates power. Line drive approach with some loft. Launched a ball to deep CF for a 2 RBI 3B. Adding yet another hit to an already impressive start to the tourney.

Riley McDonald RHP / 3B / Hollins, FL / 20256-foot-3, 185 pounds. Wiry strong. Active mover in the box. Gap to gap approach. Level path with quick hands. Advanced barrel control. A lot to like with actions and frame. Impressive 2-way hopped on the bump and touched 90. Long arm action from 3/4 slot with extension. Commanded glove side with tight breaker. Andrew McWilliams MIF / RHP / Bishop Kenny , FL / 2024Short, compact swing. Solid barrel control. Gets on plane and drives a high fastball into the gap for a 2 bagger.

Max Murray 3B / RHP / Winter Springs, FL / 2025UCF recruit. 6-foot-3, 200 pounds. 2021 Junior Future Gamer for Team Florida. 2-way laced a hard line drive to the opposite field. Level to uphill path with intent to lift. Potential Power Bat. 2-way turned in a quality start only allowing 1 H, striking out 7. FB flashed ride with developing breaking stuff. 5 IP, 1 H, 3 BB, 7 K’s. FB: 83-85 T86SL: 74-76

Akhil Nimmala 3B / Strawberry Crest, FL / 20246-foot-3, 180 pounds. Nimmala is starting to fill out long 6-foot-3 frame that projects at a corner. Just missed a deep ball pullside, later comes up with RBI 3B to deep LCF. Interesting ‘24.

Evan Nix LHP / 1B / Hanover, VA / 2025Southpaw with feel for 3 pitches. Uber clean mechanics with rhythmic repeatable delivery. 3/4 slot filling up the zone. CH tunnels with late fading action. A lot to like. FB: 80-82 T83 CB: 73-74 CH: 75-76

Isaac Padilla 3B / RHP / Lake Brantley, FL / 20246-foot-1 200 pounds. Big bodied frame. Some deception in windup. Showed feel for 3 pitch mix. Clean arm action. FB is heavy with natural ASR. SL with late bite. A lot to like when in rhythm.

Dominic Pegues 1B / OF / Clayton, NC / 20246-foot-1, 200 pounds. Strong frame. Short stride with quick hands. Showing solid power driving a triple into the gap.

Brandon Reiter LHP / LHP / Satellite Senior, FL / 20256-foot, 155 pounds. Competitive southpaw up to 85, CB above average at times when on top. Some traffic on paths, but limited damage. 3 IP, 0 H, 3 BB, 4 K’s. FB: 82-84 T85 (2300)CB: 68-69

DIMITRI SABINO SS / Frank W. Springstead, FL / 2024Athletic mover. Calm and comfortable in the box. Quick hands with lift. Barreled a 2B. Showed good actions at SS.
