Northern Utah Fall ID: Hitting Data Dive

Cam Black-Araujo
Utah Operations

This past Saturday, October 12th, the Prep Baseball Utah staff hosted it's annual Fall ID with the Northern Utah Fall ID at Ridgeline High School in Millville, Utah. This event featured 21 propsects in the 2025 - 2028 classes and allowed our staff an opportunity to get an in-depth look at the players in attendance, as well as collected updated metrics and data.

Fall ID's serve as a final opportunity for players to update their metrics before the winter and are a first identifier for Invite-Only showcases in the early spring.

Earlier this week, we broke down the top measurable data performers from the event with our Statistical Analysis article. Now, we will take a further in-depth look at the top position players and metrics with the help of our tech partnerships, broken down by the categories down below:

Body Rotation: A swing that has the appropriate relative contributions of body and bat rotations is an efficient and Powerful swing that maintains proper sequencing. An efficient baseball swing is one in which the body creates the initial movements, which is then transferred to the arms and out to the bat, thereby maximizing Bat Speed through this proximal-to-distal kinematic sequencing movement pattern.
