Scouting Report

(3/28/24)
The senior uncommitted RHP got the start for Wylie against Flower Mound in the Prep Baseball Invitational earlier this year, and gave them a chance to win. The 6’4" Baker has a big, athletic frame that is easy to dream on. His fastball sat 84-87 for the duration of his outing, and I think he has a big velo jump still to come. He showed feel for his curveball and changeup on the day. I really liked the change against lefties, as it had good arm side run plus nice tumbling action. Baker is a strike thrower and has a frame that could see some big jumps once he is in college. He should be a hot commodity this summer. He is also a stick on the golf course.
