North TX Uncommitted Games: Quick Hits (2025's)

TEXAS - Yesterday, we hosted North Texas Upperclass Uncommitted Games at Weatherford College. We had over 70 players attend. Every player showed tool(s) that should attract interest from colleges looking for pitcher or player to sign depending on need and past development success. They have tools/abilities to help a program. 2026 grades will have quick hits notes coming.

2025 Quick Hits
+ 2025 OF Weston Cox - Plano West HS - 5'9 142lb - R/R
Lean build with avg width to shoulders, will get stronger. WAA runner with quickness for stolen bases. 6.6 today, has run 6.36. Game play ran 4.18/4.2 with a couple of stolen bases in game. Solid defender with WAA range. Bat/hand speed present. Projects as a line drive, gap to gap hitter, put the ball in play type with ability to get doubles/triples. Game play was just that, put ball play, stole bases and get into scoring position.
+ 2025 OF Coby McBride - Boswell HS - 5'8 151lb - S/R
Good build/frame to add strength. Plus runner, 6.72 60 today, has run 6.66. 1st step quickness present for SB’s. Plus range in OF. Defensively solid defender with ability to play CF, projects to have a near avg arm, makes accurate throws to bag. Solid approach to hit. Shined in game play with hard contact off barrel for 1B CF and barrelled 2B. Physically will have strength in future, CF ability to find barrel in games.
+ 2025 2B/3B Tristan Raley - Rockwall HS - 5'9 187lb - R/R
Solidly built, width to shoulders, room to add strength. 7.03 60. Steady defender with solid actions, makes plays. Line drive approach with good swing. Consistent ability to find barrel, solid bat speed present. Sum of the parts player. Doesn’t wow with big tools, does find a way to barrel the baseball and make plays defensively. Winner.
+ 2025 C/3B Jake Scheiden - Keller HS - 5'9 185lb - R/R
Good build to add strength and weight. 7.22 60. 1.92-2.08 pop times, arm strength present with ability improve footwork/release. Receives well, see him developing into quality/accurate thrower in future. Solid contact off barrel creating line drive contact. Solid AB’s in game play. Defensively has versatility to play 3rd base when needing a break from catching to keep his bat in lineup.
+ 2025 C/3B Joshua O'Malley - East View HS - 6'0 181lb - R/R
Room to add strength, width to shoulders, strength to lower. 7.22 60, BA runner. Catching receives well, shows avg raw arm with carry to throws. Slow release hinders pop times, 2.04-2.15, can improve with release improvements. Infield has solid actions and footwork, will be a solid defender at corner. Solid contact of barrel with top exit velo of 97. Opportunities for adjustment to take advantage of bat strength and avg bat speed. See power developing.
+ 2025 3B/RHP Owen Skinner - Mansfield Legacy HS - 6'2 185lb - R/R
Good build with room to add strength.
RHP FB 85-88, CB 71-72, CH 79-80
Avg delivery with full circle, arm works well. FB has short, late tail/sink action to arm side. CB has 11-5 tilt, did flash avg when he hit it, but more of a roller overall, must firm for success in future. CH with fade along with some sink, fine deception. Will throw harder with opportunity to firm CB. Would love to see try to develop slider.
Defensively has actions with solid footwork, avg hands. Hitting shows bat speed with length to swing. Will develop some pull power.
Interesting player, pitching ahead of hitting at this time. Upside play on the mound.
+ 2025 SS Cooper Lucas - Barbers Hill HS - 5'11 160lb - L/R
Lean, athletic build with room to add strength. 6.94 60, has run better at previous events. Defensively has good actions, good 1st step, feet work well getting into position to field baseball, quick release. Body control/agility present. Throws show carry across, solid arm strength present. Solid approach to hit with good swing, Showed avg bat speed. Ability to impact baseball will improve with strength. Handles bat.
+ 2025 OF Colby Fowler - Lago Vista HS - 5'9 168lb - L/L
Will gain strength, good build/frame, athleticism present. 7.10 60 at this event, previous event has run 6.78, good mover. Solid arm strength in the OF with carry to throws, moves well to baseball. Good swing, approach to hit. 2B hit to RCF in game play. Shows solid bat/hand speed. Like the upside with bat/power.
+ 2025 C Noah Felton - Tyler Legacy HS - 6'3 200lb - R/R
Good build with room to add strength, chance for big, physical catcher. Runs fine for his size/position, 7.31. Moves fine behind the plate, receives well. Good release, footwork to throw. 1.89-2.01 pop times in workout. Bat speed present, top exit velo of 98.7 with solid exit velo avg. Scoop swing with pull approach. Opportunities for adjustments with approach and swing. Chance for catcher with arm strength and power.
+ 2025 C Gavin Chaney - Hebron HS - 5'11 165lb - R/R
Good build to add strength. Solid receiver showing quality, consistent pop times in workout. 1.92-2.02 arm strength/arm speed present. Okay bat speed with scoop swing, opportunities for adjustments. Chance for defensive oriented catcher with ability to throw.
