North Texas Uncommitted Games: Quick Hits (2026's)

TEXAS - On Tuesday, August 6, we hosted North Texas Upperclass Uncommitted Games at Weatherford College. We had over 70 players attend. Every player showed tool(s) that should attract interest from colleges looking for pitcher or player to sign depending on need and past development success. They have tools/abilities to help a program. 2026 grades will have quick hits notes coming.

2026 Quick Hits
+ 2026 OF/LHP Zackary Goldstein - Grapevine HS - 5'9 150lb - L/L
Lean build with avg width to shoulders/back. Will get stronger. 7.0 60. Good mover. Solid defender in OF, moves well to baseball, fields ball out front. BA arm presently, avg arm future, takes too many steps to throw, can be helped. Good approach to hit, patient, K zone recognition present. Solid bat/hand speed now, will continue to improve. Showed pull side power in game with HR to pull side along with just missing one foul.
LHP Arm works with full circle, solid delivery. FB 85-87 with natural LHP life to arm side. Showed ability and willingness to pitch in on hands to both side hitters. CB sweep/slurve action. Change with fade action with deception. Around the plate with stuff in his outing.
Good baseball player, can hit, solid bat/power combo in future. LHP with upside, around the plate with developing secondary.
+ 2026 RHP/1B Elijah Webber - Boyd HS - 6'3 188lb - L/R
Good build/frame to add strength, will have good physical build in future when he adds strength. 7.3 60. Defensively has good feet moving to baseball with actions present. Will be avg defender in future. Arm works, will have avg arm in future. (90 mph across in workout) Good swing path creating line drive contact. Solid bat/hand speed. Ability to impact baseball will come with solid bat/power combo in future.
RHP Velocity will continue to increase. Arm works with arm speed present. Struggles to repeat delivery, runs away from his arm with front side, release point varies. FB 81-87 tail action increasing to arm side. CB 71-75 with inconsistent release. Change 77-77 some fade. Struggled with K’s this outing.
Upside to bat/power combo. On the mound will throw harder. Solid 2 way player that should get looks as both hitter and pitcher.
+ 2026 3B/C Xander Thacker - Boswell HS - 5'10 177lb - R/R
Good build, width to shoulders/back, will add strength. 7.29 60. Defensively shows good footwork with avg foot quickness, actions present. Avg arm future, 89 mph across. Avg bat/hand speed. Length to swing with pull approach, hard contact, gets on plane. Opportunities to adjust.
RHP Avg delivery, arm works with arm speed present. FB 84-78. CB 68-71 okay spin, gets on side hindering action. Change 78-82, over throws.
Position/hitter over pitcher based on this look. Infielder who will impact baseball in future.
+ 2026 3B/1B Dylan Duran - Aledo HS - 5'11 209lb - R/R
Thick build with strength, room to add more strength. 7.37 60, moves well for build. Okay actions, can improve playing thru baseball, good 1st step moving to ball. Limited to corner infield position. Bat strength present with avg bat speed. Hard contact off barrel with line drives. Solid approach in game play with line drive single to RF. Power is coming. Corner with solid bat/power combo in future. He will hit balls hard off barrel.
+ 2026 Jonathon Dane Oud - Como-Pickton HS - 6'3 197lb - R/R
Good frame/build, will add more strength in future. 7.45 60. Defensively has actions, moves well with feet getting body into position to field. BA arm presently, fringe avg future. Bat strength present with hard contact, 99 top exit velo. Long swing with bat speed. Got pull oriented at times, When he worked middle of the field, put good swings on ball with hard, line drive contact. 3 hard hits in game play, including double.
RHP Arm works, fair arm speed. FB 82-84. CB 69-73 with okay spin. DNS change.
Hitter over pitcher based on this look. Good body to add strength, hard contact, power coming.
+ 2026 C/OF Layton Murrell - Springtown HS - 6'0 178lb - R/R
Durable, good catchers frame/build. Will get stronger. 7.49 60. Receives well, moves well behind the plate. 1.94-2.01 pop times with good carry to throws. Will have at least an avg arm strength in future, could exceed to plus. Gets in good position to hit. Some length to swing with uphill path, when he squared baseball, hit it hard, would love to see him get more on plane, working for line drive contact. 2 solid singles in game play.
Catch and throw with upside to hit, power will be there.
+ 2026 MIF Cannon Webb - Prosper HS - 5'8 155lb - R/R
Smaller with good build/frame to add strength. 7.35 60. Defensively shows solid footwork and actions. Foot speed is okay. Will have fringe avg arm in future. Solid contact with ability to find barrel consistently with avg exit velo of 87.9. Dead hands to start swing, fair bat speed. Bat speed will improve with strength and any sort of hand movement to start hand/barrel launch. Showed K zone recognition in game with hard hit 1B to LF.
Like the hit for avg profile in future, will get his share of extra base hits to gaps.
+ 2026 2B/3B Jacob Keuss - VR Eaton HS - 6'0 185lb - R/R
Good build with some present strength now, room to add more. 7.34 60. Actions present with solid 1st step. Good arm circle for infield play, project him to have avg arm in future (84 top velo across this day). Shows pull side raw power, some length to swing, overall solid swing components. Put good swings on baseball in game play. Like the overall bat/power combo. Upside to his overall power production. If moved to 3rd after HS will profile well as corner guy.
