TEXAS - Over Memorial Day Weekend, we hosted the Five Star Scout Weekend in DFW. The event featured prospects from the 2025-2028. Saturday through Monday, each team played in 3 games, meaning we were able to get a good look at every player in attendance. Today, we begin the post event coverage with a look at some of the prospects that impressed North TX Scouting Director, Max Semler.

Good build with room for strength. Good player. Tools showed in the event. 6.72 60 yd. Solid contact off barrel. Upside to hit tool with some minor approach adjustments. Barrel starts in vertical launch, hands push away from body with slight wrist cock. Movement creates some length to swing, athletic to make adjustments. Offensive Player of year in his district. Ethan has upside to hit potential. Defensively steady defender with good reads off bat.

Good physical build with room to add strength. Good setup, getting into a good position to hit. Patient at plate with strike zone recognition. Good swing path with some length can be shortened.

Solid catch and throw. Avg to tick above average times to 2nd, 1.9-2.0. Accurate throws. Athleticism is present long ability to run for catcher, 6.89 60yd. Moves well behind the plate. Offensively line drive contact. Push away with stride creates lead arm bar causing length to swing, can shorten and get into better launch position. I like the upside to hit approach.

Athletic with quick twitch. Good build with room for added strength. Plus runner. Bat speed present with solid contact off barrel. Crouched stance, loads to backside, short stride. Simple C movement with hands, barrel in good launch position. I Feel he cuts off his swing at times. Upside present. 6.54 60.

LHH catcher. Receives well. Near avg arm strength with 2.06 pop time. Good build with strength present, room to add more. Good approach to hit with pitch recognition. Catcher that schools should check in over summer.

LHH with strength to body. LHH with good load, hands/barrel in solid launch position. Scoop swing with solid contact off barrel. Present power is fair, will continue to improve with strength. Would like to see him get a bit more on plane with swing, has some power, I don’t see big power in future for scoop swing to play and have major impact. Do believe there is a solid hitter here.

LHH Catcher with strength to the body, room  for future strength. Solid receiver. Moves well blocking. Showed near avg arm strength on throws to 2nd with solid glove to hand exchange. Footwork can be improved and quickened. 2.08 in game. Hitting shows average bat speed with a good swing path. Body gets into a good position to hit. Slight bat wrap with load creating some length to swing. Solid contact off barrel.

Outfielder with ability to play CF. 6.7 60 yd. Smaller with some strength present. Nice approach to hit with avg bat speed. I think he would be a good fit for a JC.

Athletic, multi sport athlete. Good physical build for future strength. Defensively showed actions with carry on throws. Steady approach to hit showing avg bat speed. Good player. Upside present.
