Jimmy Glowenke, SS, Marcus HS, 2017
Dallas Baptist commit. 5-foot-10, 180-pound, strong frame. The slick-fielding shortstop has good footwork and glove action, excellent exchanges in the mid-line of his body. Has excellent arm strength and can throw from different angles. Can field and throw on the run, showing the ability to play all three infield positions. The right-handed hitter starts from a tall upright stance, lowers himself with a gliding, hover-like stride, walking away from his hands to land in an athletic hitting position. Glowenke has strength at contact, the barrel stays in the zone a long time and has gap power.

PBR: What was your summer experience like?

JG: My team qualified for The Connie Mack World Series and it was the greatest baseball experience of my life. I built strong relationships every guy on my team which made my summer experience outstanding.

PBR: What are your high school team's expectations for the spring?

JG: We will be young, however our offense and pitching will be deadly! I can see us making it DEEP into the playoffs this year

PBR: What are your personal goals as you look ahead?

JG: I want to be the MVP of my district. Best defender in the district. Set the hits record at Marcus HS.

PBR: What part of your game do you think you need to improve the most?

JG: Speed

PBR: Who is the toughest pitcher you have faced?

JG: Ray Gaither

PBR: What are your interests outside of baseball?

JG: I love to play Golf outside of the game, also I enjoy lifting weights in the off season

PBR: Is there another player you model your game after?

JG: Evan Longoria, and Josh Donaldson

PBR: What drew you to commit to the school you picked?

JG: 24 Hour Indoor Hitting Facility. Outstanding coaching staff. Beautiful Campus.

PBR: Is there a moment or achievement so far in your career that stands out from the rest?

JG: An accomplishment that stands out to me is making it to the Connie Mack WS. The influence that I had on the little kids that were there. I realized there that a SIMPLE, and small gesture can impact someone beyond my understanding.
