Texas Premier Tournament: Day 2
July 7, 2019
2022 P/SS Tres Organ (Episcopal HS) Houston Kyle Chapman
The uncommitted 5’9” 145lb Organ is someone to keep tabs on as he continues to physically mature. Athletic kid with a short arm swing and clean mechanics. Repeats his delivery, does a good job of controlling his center of gravity and working down the mound toward his target. Fastball was 77-79 with late life out of has hand. Spun tight CB with 1/7 shape at 62-63. A lot to like about this young arm on the mound.

2022 C Nathan Owens (The Woodlands HS) Houston Kyle Chapman
The uncommitted 5’5” 140lb Owens was really fun to watch work behind the plate. Has soft hands and beats the pitch to the spot with minimal extra movement. Feel for advanced receiving/framing techniques at his age. Displayed a strong arm between innings and made a really nice play out in front of home on a bunt to get the runner at first. Handles his pitching staff well and had good rapport with the umpire. Leader behind the dish.

The 5’5” 140lb Owens has been exceptional behind the plate. Quiet, advanced receiving/framing techniques. Strong arm between innings. Leader behind the dish. @PBR_Texas @texpremier pic.twitter.com/2ZGjXtBKOG
2021 RHP Braden Fowler (College Station HS) Twelve Baseball
The uncommitted Fowler has a projectable frame at 6’2” 160. The lanky righty has a whipy arm and throws from a lower 3/4 arm slot with a short to mid arm swing. The fastball was 80-81 with more velo to come as he develops. Slider was his best pitch at 69-71 with really good depth. Ball jumps out of his hand and both pitches play up because of arm speed.
