Texas JUCO Ranking: Week 8

In the Ranking Recap this week we cover some movement in the Top 5, two teams that made big jumps up in the rankings, and some other notable moves across the state.
Movement in the Top 5
+ For the time this season, there is a new number one in the state of Texas. Due to a big week by McLennan, they jump up to the #1 spot. McLennan as cover in the Week 8 Recap, climb to the #1 overall spot. Both them (McLennan and Grayson) jump ahead of San Jac to claim the #1 and #2 Spots. The rest of the Top 5, however, stay the same, with Odessa at 4 and Weatherford at 5.
+ Grayson, as covered in the Week 8 Recap, had a huge week sweeping Cisco in a four-game series.
+ San Jac had 2-1 week losing the Galveston in game one of their series where there was a combined 30 strikeouts between the two teams: Galveston- Peacock (4), Lohse (3), Deese (6), San Jac- Rutledge (12), Quinones (5).
Alvin #19→ #14
Alvin swept their Series with Wharton this past week. They were lead by INF Garrett Poston who was 7-12 in the three games, with 2 doubles, 2 home runs, 6 runs batted in, and 3 runs.
Temple #25→ #16
Temple jumps up 9-Spots this week after their 3-1 series win over Ranger. They were led by FR 1B Aaron Krueger who was 4-11, with a double, triple, home run, 10 runs batted in, and 5 runs over the course of their series.
