Prep Baseball Report Texas is working to cover the entire state of Texas and the baseball prospects that are striving for their goal of moving to the next level. We had a chance last week to catch up with Marcus High School and Head Baseball Coach Jeff Sherman's team practice. Here are several players to keep an eye on for the Marauders this spring.

If you would like your team evaluated and written up by PBR, please contact our Texas Scouting Director, Toby Bicknell. Be sure to follow us on twitter at @PBR_Texas and stay tuned for more from our Texas High School Roundup.

Michael Leaumont, RHP, Marcus HS, 2017
Louisiana-Lafayette commit. 6-foot-2, 180-pound lean, athletic build. Works from high-¾ slot with long arm action. High leg lift with solid hip mobility and clean delivery. Fastball ranged from 83-86 mph with good arm-side run and sink producing numerous ground balls to the left side of the infield. Curve ball showed good depth at 72 mph while his slider had some cutter-type action at 77-78 mph. Leaumont also posted a couple of hits during the game including a triple to right-center field and was a 4.5 on the turn. All around fast twitch athlete.

Jimmy Glowenke, SS, Marcus HS, 2017
Dallas Baptist Commit. 5-foot-10, 185-pound strong, muscular frame. Shows advanced actions at shortstop with a quick exchange and good footwork through the baseball. Arm action is clean and shows good arm strength in between innings. The right-handed hitter starts from a tall, narrow, slightly open stance with quiet rhythm. He showed the ability to keep his hands back on a curveball getting an RBI base hit to left field.

Hunter Bushnell, RHP, Marcus HS, 2017
6-foot, 185-pound frame. The uncommitted senior works from a high-¾ slot and hides the ball well with an early hand separation and easy arm action. Although the fastball only topped out at 86 mph working mostly 84-86 mph, the slider has tight spin and good 11-5 action at 75-77 mph. Bushnell showed the ability to command both pitches and threw the slider multiple times for strikes early in the count, then getting swings and misses expanding it off the plate.

Tyler Morgan, RHP, Marcus HS, 2019
6-foot, 150-pound frame. Works from a ¾ slot with a quick delivery. Locates the fastball at 81-82 mph. The slider is a solid pitch at 73-74 with slurve action. Has a good feel for the strike zone and holds runners well changing his times to the plate and mixing in his move to first base.

Blake Mayfield, RHP, Marcus HS, 2019
6-foot, 145-pound projectable frame. Works from a high-¾ slot with long clean arm action. Showed advanced feel for both fastball and slider in his first bullpen session of the fall. Only put the gun up for one fastball at 82 mph. Very projectable arm to follow this spring.
