The Texas high school season kicks off on February 24, the first day for regular season games. Most teams will begin practicing on January 31, getting their rosters set and finalizing their lineups.

Over the next several weeks, leading up to opening day, we will be rolling out team previews of high school teams all across the state and across all classifications, eventually launching our Preseason Power 25. 

We have been sending out our annual Preseason Questionnaire to coaches all across the state and as the responses flood in we will bring you a snapshot of what to expect along with top players and keys to success for that particular team. SEASON PREVIEW

Corsicana and Coach Heath Autrey enjoyed a lengthy playoff run to the state tournament and are looking to build off of that in 2020, in which they return production in the lineup and on the mound. In the lineup, Coach Autrey has his son returning, junior 1B Hunter Autrey (committed to Oklahoma) who led the team in most offensive categories in 2019. Also returning in the lineup is sophomore IF Miguel Luevano and senior SS Lane Fuentes. On the bump, Corsicana returns junior RHP Kolby Kinkade, who was their #1 pitcher in 2019. Also expected to help contribute in 2020 is senior OF Cade Johnson.
