The Texas high school season kicks off on February 19, the first day for regular season games. Most teams will begin practicing on January 26, getting their rosters set and finalizing their lineups.

Over the next several weeks, leading up to opening day, we will be rolling out team previews of high school teams all across the state and across all classifications, eventually launching our Preseason Power 25.

We have been sending out our annual Preseason Questionnaire to coaches all across the state and as the responses flood in we will bring you a snapshot of what to expect along with top players and keys to success for that particular team. SEASON PREVIEW

Coach Mark Brown returns all nine starters and four pitchers from last season. Leading the pitching staff will be the right handed duo of Landon Odom, and Cason Daniels, who accumulated a 6-2 record last season. Odom is an Oral Roberts commit that stands 6-foot-4 and is currently ranked No. 71 in the Texas 2018 Class. He pitches with his fastball at 88-90 mph late arm-side life, working from a high-¾ slot with a long arm stroke. His slider has short break at 77 mph, curveball at 70, and mixes in a changeup at 74-76 mph. Providing the offensive output for the Bobcats will be 1B Colin Coleman, a .400 hitter a year ago, and C Kenneth Andrews.
