Notable Players:
Smithson Valley uncommitted 2020 RHP/OF Jarek Wells had strong performances on the mound and at the plate on Tuesday night. The No. 168 ranked junior in the state put in 6.1 innings to earn the win for his team, and helped his own cause by hitting 2-4 on the night with two RBI. On the mound, the long-limbed righty works from a low ¾ slot with late, whippy actions. His fastball, an offering that worked in the 84-86 mph range, varied in consistency with action, with occasional cutting, sinking, and running actions. He paired the fastball with a wide-sweeping curveball that clocked in at 70-72 mph and he could control it to both sides of the plate.
