The Texas high school season kicks off on February 19, the first day for regular season games. Most teams will begin practicing on January 26, getting their rosters set and finalizing their lineups.

Over the next several weeks, leading up to opening day, we will be rolling out team previews of high school teams all across the state and across all classifications, eventually launching our Preseason Power 25.

We have been sending out our annual Preseason Questionnaire to coaches all across the state and as the responses flood in we will bring you a snapshot of what to expect along with top players and keys to success for that particular team. SEASON PREVIEW

Tidehaven returns the majority of its core from last year's conference runner-ups, only losing one starter. With so much experience in the field and depth on the mound, Tidehaven will rely heavily on its defense and pitching to stifle opposing teams' offenses. Junior SS/RHP Gordo Moreno will look to be the catalyst for the Tigers at the plate and in the field. On the mound, lanky RHP Bryce Galvan will lead the staff. Other players to watch include: 1B Chris Rodriguez, who has the potenital to make an impact with his power bat, 2B Jacob Galvan, will complete the sure-handed middle infield for the Tigers, playing opposite Moreno, and left-handed hitting 3B Cade Galvan who will look to fill the power role in the Tidehaven lineup.
