It's been a long, action-packed fall season throughout Texas. Much has happened over the course of the two-plus months since the launch of PBR Texas, all of which is reflected in our comprehensive 2019 Texas Top 50.

Since its inception in 2005, the Prep Baseball Report has evolved into one of the country's biggest and most respected independent scouting services, with a singular focus of providing comprehensive coverage in every state we are in. The mission of the Prep Baseball Report is to promote high school baseball and, ultimately, help prep athletes achieve their dreams of playing baseball at the next level.

The state of Texas is loaded with talent and the sophomore class this year is no different. Today we take a more in-depth look at the catchers in the Texas Top 50.  Topping the list at #21 is Dominic Tamez (Johnson HS). The 5-foot-10, 190-pound, strong framed, Arkansas recruit is a right-handed hitter with elite bat speed that shows pull-side power. Behind the the plate he has a quick exchange, good footwork, and transfers the ball into a strong throwing motion with carry in the arm. Right behind Tamez at #25 is Oklahoma recruit, Austin King (Argyle HS). The 5-foot-10, 170-pound, strong framed, Oklahoma recruit is an aggressive player that can hit for power.

With Tamez and King off the board, we now take a look at four catchers that are still uncommitted.

+ Nate Rombach, (Mansfield Legacy HS), Ranked #31
Rombach is wiry strong at 6-foot-3, 185 pounds. His pop times range from 2.03-2.08 thanks to a clean exchange, quick footwork and advanced arm strength. He is also able to handle velocity, catching some low-90s arms at a recent event. At the plate, he shows good pop to his pull side and gets good leverage from his long arms.

+ Kaden Teafatiller, (Rider HS), Ranked #37
6-foot-2, 180-pound frame. Athletic runner with long strides. He showed good arm strength from behind the plate. Offensively, he went 1-for-3 in the first game with a base hit up the middle and a hard ground ball to second. In game 2 he was 1-for-3 with a base hit to center field and a hard line drive to right field.

+ Chad Ricker, (Argyle HS), Ranked #43
5-foot-11, 150-pound frame. Registered 2.2 pop-times with accurate throws, clean arm action, exchange and release. The switch-hitter batted left-handed all day with a very simple, slightly crouched set-up that produces natural lift. Consistently hit balls on the barrel going 3-for-5 with a double and single to right field, a base hit in the six-hole and two fly balls to right field. Ricker, who plays multiple positions, moved to shortstop for an inning and showed solid actions.

+ Bo Willis, (Magnolia HS), Ranked #47
6-foot-1, 186-pound, strong frame. Although we have only seen Willis briefly this fall, he had a strong summer showcasing a powerful bat.
