PBR Oklahoma strives to be the most comprehensive source of player information across the state. The Prep Baseball Report is the No. 1 resource for high school baseball in each state we cover through our variety of events, boots-on-the-ground scouting staff, daily coverage, and multimedia platforms. Our multimedia platforms and events work in tandem, ultimately creating the most powerful source of high school baseball promotion in each state.  While other organizations take a national approach, our goal is to become the authoritative voice on the ground level of each state. Today, PBR Oklahoma will look at five young players that stood out in the talented match up between the Texas Prospects and the Las Vegas Recruits.

Zachary Escovedo, SS/2B, Edmond Memorial HS (2020)
A 5-foot-8, 150-pound frame. Offensively, right-handed hitter, middle of the field, flat, patient approach. A narrow, open, athletic set-up, barrel tilt towards pitcher, short stride, late heal plant, compact swing. Aggressive base runner, stole two bases on the day. Escovedo was resting his arm and did not play defense.

Trace Evans, SS/2B, Edmond Memorial HS (2020)
A 5-foot-9, 150-pound proportional build. Offensively, right-handed hitter, middle of the field approach. Hits from a wide, athletic base, some rhythm, low hands, short to the ball, flat to contact. Ran a 4.42 home-to-first. Defensively, shows consistent hands, accurate arm, good awareness,  and a bit stiff at times.

Tanner Holliman, SS/RHP, Oklahoma Christian HS (2019)
A 5-10, 155-pound athletic build with some length. Offensively, right-handed hitter, all field, flat approach, loose hands. Hits from an upright, relaxed stance with some rhythm in the hands, slight leg kick and moderate stride, flat bat path. Holliman was on-time all day and came away with two hits. Ran a 4.57 home-to-first. Defensively, a very heady player, always in the right position, smooth actions, soft hands, loose arm from multiple slots, some accuracy. One the mound, works from a fluid, up-tempo delivery, short, quick arm action, high-3/4 slot, inconsistent release point at times. Fastball ranged 75-81 mph with some life. Breaking ball sat 67-68 mph with some depth.

Matthew Wilson, 2B/RHP, Yukon HS (2020)
A 5-foot-9, 145-pound frame with proportionally long legs. Offensively, right-handed hitter, middle-pull, flat approach.  A slightly wide, quiet, athletic stance, short to contact, flat path through finish. An intelligent base runner, got a few huge jumps to steal bases easily. On the mound, works from the stretch, full, fluid arm circle, over the top slot. Fastball sits 76-78 mph with some cut. Curveball shows consistent tight spin with depth, 64-65 mph.

Caden Young, 3B/RHP, Choctaw HS (2019)
A 6-foot, 165-pound lean frame with broad shoulders. Offensively, right-handed hitter, middle opposite filed, flat approach. A quiet, balanced set up, no stride, slight load, on plane though contact. On the mound, works with good tempo and rhythm, high-3/4 slot, finishes to the first base side. Fastball keeps its plane, 75-79 mph, for strikes. Curveball shows 11/5 shape, 62-63 mph.
